The Flamenco Dance Museum is declared a Place of Tourist Interest in Andalusia
The places or goods of tourist interest in Andalusia represent the manifestations or reference points of the best that this land offers to its visitors, they are the backbone of cultural, nature and experiential tourism, and it is the Junta de Andalucía that grants this official award. Since December 1, 2021, the Flamenco Dance Museum (MBF) in Seville, created by the dancer Cristina Hoyos, belongs to this tourist elite.
Reasons for this appointment have been its excellent work in the presentations of first level flamenco performances, the treatment of flamenco as a cultural and heritage asset of Andalusia and, above all, its international projection. Its exhibition spaces, its work of social and artistic dissemination, with international plastic artists who offer surprising aesthetic experiences in its art gallery, make the museum offer a large part of the Flamenco Universe to its visitors.
For its clients, in 2022 the Museum will offer its services for demanding clients within the Flamenco Gourmet and World Premium Flamenco lines. For this reason, the delegate of Tourism has highlighted that «it is much more than a museum. It is a center that values the richness of flamenco and constantly works for its knowledge and dissemination, with great national and international prestige”.
For the Museum itself, this recognition also has another meaning: it is the first time that the Board has awarded this distinction to a Flemish establishment. In this sense, the MBF receives this appointment in the name of a sector that fights for its full integration in the cultural and tourist economies of Andalusia and Spain.
However, the greatest beneficiaries of this distinction are our clients, visitors and friends, whom we continue to serve with the usual cordiality and professionalism, to promote knowledge and learning of flamenco dance and in the universe of its emotions.
