The Flamenco Dance Museum is one of the leading places to enjoy an authentic flamenco show in Seville. Chosen by international visitors, renowned personalities and Sevillians themselves, it offers a unique opportunity to experience live flamenco in the historic heart of the city.
In one of the few traditional courtyards of Écija still preserved in Seville, a spectacular stage welcomes six flamenco artists: three dancers, two singers and one guitarist. Together, they bring the passion and intensity of live flamenco to the stage, surrounded by theatrical lighting, carefully designed sound and the unique atmosphere of an Andalusian courtyard. Look up and you may even see traditional “enea” chairs and Sevillian orange trees seemingly floating above you.
The cast changes every day, making each flamenco show a different experience. One evening may feature Alegrías with a bata de cola, shawl or castanets; another may bring the solemn intensity of a Seguiriya, a Soleá por Bulerías, a dramatic Taranto, sensual Tangos or any of the many styles that form part of flamenco.
If you would like to take part of the experience home with you, the Flamenco Dance Museum has also produced a CD and a DVD trilogy featuring performances by our artists. A special souvenir of your visit, available from our shop.
All choreographies performed at the Flamenco Dance Museum bear the artistic hallmark and quality of flamenco master Cristina Hoyos.
